On Thursday April 6th Michael Purry was arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court on one count of Possession to Distribute Class B Drug Subsequent Offense. The Honorable Judge Tyne set bail at 250k cash and revoked bail for 90 days on the pending case.
On Wednesday April 5th Pittsfield Police were called to 254 Elanor Road for a report of an individual who was deceased due to an overdose. Upon arrival to the scene, Officers were given permission to search the vehicle Purry was driving. Officers discovered approximately $3,600 in the center console of the vehicle. When searching Purry’s coat (located inside the vehicle), officers recovered a plastic bag containing a hard white substance and a small digital scale in an inner pocket. A field test determined the substance was cocaine.
On March 16th, Purry was alleged to be at the home of a deceased individual reported to be an overdose.
2nd Assistant Kelly Kemp represented the Commonwealth. The bail recommendation was based upon Purry’s extensive criminal history, which includes multiple drug offenses and served state prison sentences, and the pending Superior Court drug trafficking case.
