District Attorney Shugrue is committed to the safety and prosperity of our business owners and financial institutions. The office ensures that everything from petty shoplifting to Organized Retail Crime is prosecuted.

In November of 2023, DA Shugrue in collaboration with local retailers and law enforcement created the Berkshire Organized Retail Crime Prevention Alliance in an effort to provide transparency and rapid communication between retailers and law enforcement in an effort to provide quicker prosecution of individuals engaged in shoplifting, larcenies, and Organized Retail Crime.
