Internships
District Attorney Shugrue values the experiences that internships provide. Internships include assisting lawyers prepare for cases; research; law enforcement support; as well as work in specialty units. Internship applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The positions often fill in early spring; therefore, interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.
College and first and second year law students applying for an internship should email Contact.BerkshireDA@mass.gov with the header ‘Internship”. In the body of the email please provide:
- Name
- School/Year of Schooling
- Start/End Date of Availability
- If the internship is connected to college credits
- Area of Interest: Administrative, Child Abuse, Human Trafficking, Consumer Protection, Juvenile Justice, Legal (undergrad) or Victim Witness Services
Third year law students seeking a 3:03 should email Contact.BerkshireDA@mass.gov with the header “3:03 Internship”. In the body of the email please provide:
- Name
- School
- Start/End Date of 3:03
Due to the confidential nature of the the work, the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office does not offer high school internships. The Office welcomes high school students for job shadow days.
