Abuse of Elders and Disabled Persons

Our community’s elders and disabled persons can be acutely at-risk for physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, as well as caretaker neglect, financial exploitation, and scams. We are committed to finding the best course of action to alleviate these risks and vulnerabilities. Allegations of abuse are reviewed by a dedicated team of prosecutors and advocates using an inter-disciplinary approach that includes social services, law enforcement, and other providers. We also work to remove obstacles to disclosure, so that victims and/or their caretakers can feel safe and supported as they can engage with the many services in our community that can meet their unique needs.
