May 13, 2025 Press Releases

Pittsfield, MA: On Wednesday May 7th, Destiny Culpo-Lechner pleaded guilty to two counts of witness intimidation from a case stemming from Grand Jury testimony that concluded in November 2022.

The Defendant and a second individual were called to provide testimony in a case being heard in front of the Grand Jury. The Defendant expressed a feeling that the case should not go forward. In turn, she attempted to intimidate the second individual based on his participation in the Grand Jury.

The Defendant sent harassing text messages; caused disruption to his family; and attempted to evict him from his apartment of which Culp-Lechner was the landlord.

District Attorney Shugrue stated, “Witness intimidation is a very real issue in the Berkshires. It creates fear in victims and witnesses of crime and hinders our attempt to fully prosecute cases. I will not tolerate attempts to intimidate victims of crime and will continue to bring charges forward on those attempting to do so.”

Destiny Culp-Lechner was sentenced to two years in the House of Corrections, suspended for 1 year with conditions of no contact with the victim and anger management.
