Pittsfield, MA- On Thursday, April 24th George Bliss (DOB 10/10/85) was arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court in relation to multiple break-ins and attempted break-ins for at the TDB Bank inside and outside ATM on 99 West Street, Pittsfield. The charges are as follows:
• Breaking Into Bank Depository (266/16/B)
• Larceny Under $1200 (266/30/C)
• Vandalize Property (266/126A)
• Attempt to Break Into Bank Depository – 3 counts
• Attempted Larceny – 3 counts
• Vandalize Property – 3 counts
The Defendant broke-in and attempted to break-into the ATM on February 15, 2025; March 1, 2025; March 4, 2025; April 1, 2025; and April 11, 2025. The Defendant was observed on bank security cameras using various instruments to break in including a knife, crowbar, and screwdriver. The damages to the ATMs was $14,733.82. The defendant obtained at least $720 in the break-ins.
The Pittsfield Police are the lead law enforcement agency on the case.
Separately of these charges, Mr. Bliss was arrested on March 31, 2025 on two charges, unrelated to the bank ATM breaks; Larceny from a Person and Possession of Cocaine.
The defendant’s bail on the Larceny of Person and Possession of Cocaine was revoked and he was ordered to be held without bail for 90 days and $30,000 cash bail was ordered on the new charges.
Mr. Bliss is schedule to next appear in court on May 22nd.
