• Screen and review appropriate cases in the Pittsfield, North Adams, and Great Barrington District Courts for diversion eligibility
  • Review cases with prosecutor to determine appropriateness and eligibility for pre-arraignment diversion
  • Implement assessment/evaluative tools, both for diversion intake and to determine effectiveness of the programming. Produce periodic reports summarizing case information, program effectiveness, and other reports as required or requested
  • Develop and coordinate necessary data collection and analysis for purposes of grant funding, crime reduction statistics, criminal recidivism rates, and legislative reporting and accountability
  • Coordinate all evaluation/assessment referrals for client/offenders to clinical and community partners
  • Serve as the designated liaison between community partners and the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office. Maintain regular contact with these providers and obtain progress reports on all participants in the JDCD
  • Coordinate and information share with assistant district attorneys and court personnel for court proceedings
  • Attend trainings on substance abuse, addiction, and recovery coaching
  • Coordinate and oversee programming that is safe, effective, equitable, and that promotes the goals of diversion: accountability to the community and to victims, restorative justice, public safety, and positive youth development. Locate resources for treatment and counseling, and establish relationships with providers. Identify opportunities for community service that are related to the offense conduct and goals of diversion

All full time positions offer a State benefit package includes: medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid vacation, personal and sick leave, and paid parental leave. Payroll is bi-weekly and based on a 37.5 hour work week (normally 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). All job offers contingent upon successful completion of background check. Must relocate to Berkshire County upon acceptance. Preference given to bilingual candidates.
