Perpetrator in 2/10 Fatal Hit and Run Brought into Custody

On Monday evening (2/16), the Pittsfield Police Department published a release stating the alleged perpetrator in the February 10th hit and run had been brought into custody. The Defendant has been identified as Wiliam Gross (65 years old: Hancock, MA). He was brought into custody without incident.

The Defendant is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday or Thursday morning in Central Berkshire District Court for the following charges:
• Motor Vehicle Homicide
• Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Personal Injury or Death

The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office will identify the day of arraignment (either Wednesday or Thursday) as soon as possible.
