The effects of sexual assault can be devastating and long lasting. In the aftermath, it is hard to know how to heal and feel empowered. We are committed to helping victims of sexual violence regain control and make informed choices. Our office is committed to a victim-centered approach while providing targeted information, community resources, and a helping hand. Safety and offender accountability is our priority, but we recognize that survivor justice looks different for everyone – and we are here to listen.

It takes experience and training to understand the impact of a sexual assault. Our specialized prosecutors and victim witness advocates are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of survivors. Learning about the options available can be overwhelming and victim advocates are available to provide emotional support throughout the process. They help individuals understand their rights, how to stay, and provide gentle connections to other services with partner agencies.  It is important for victims of sexual assault to know that engaging with members from our office still leaves them with choices and that they will be heard, believed, and supported.
