On Wednesday, June 14th Michael Pettus (3/13/1984; 1310 Twin Circle Drive Windsor CT) was arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court for Trafficking Cocaine (100-200 grams). The Honorable Judge Pasquariello set bail at $50,000 cash and scheduled a clarification of council hearing on June 21st.
On Tuesday, June 13th, law enforcement executed a search warrant for the vehicle Pettus was operating, Pettus’ person, a cell phone connected to Pettus and later a known residential address where Pettus was locally residing.
At approximately 12:30pm, law enforcement prepared to execute a search warrant of the car Pettus was operating: a black 2023 Nissan Murano. Based on prior investigations, law enforcement believed the vehicle was being used to support a drug distribution operation run by Pettus. When law enforcement approached the vehicle to execute the warrant, Pettus attempted to resist arrest, pulling away from officers after being handcuffed and running in the direction of East Street. Police were able to secure Pettus and return him to custody.
Upon arrest the following items were found on Pettus’ person: a plastic bag containing large amounts of white powder in Pettus’ pants pocket; an i-Phone in his left pants pocket; $135 cash in left pants pocket; a safe key fob in left pants pocket; and a plastic bag containing several individually wrapped pieces of hard white substance.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of three cellular phones and a DTA card belonging to an individual Pettus is believed to be residing.
At approximately 3:30pm law enforcement executed a search warrant for 8 Gordon Street, Pittsfield (the residence Pettus is believed to be residing). In the residence police recovered the following: a plastic bag with hard whit substance; a Pyrex measuring cup with white powder residue; $220 cash; dealer blowouts*; a plastic bag with a hard white substance; two boxes of sandwich bags on a kitchen counter; and four digital scales. The estimated street value of the drugs recovered from Pettus is approximately $3,000.
