On Wednesday, March 8th two juveniles were involved in an incident in and around Berkshire Medical Center. The juveniles’ cases are being brought before the Honorable Judge McMenemy in the Pittsfield Juvenile Court.
The first juvenile’s charges include Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Drug (Heroin); Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drug (Cocaine); Speeding ; Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle ; Fail to stop for Police ; Possession of a Firearm in the commission of a felony; Carrying a Firearm without a License; Improper Storage of a Firearm; Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card; Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License; and Disorderly Conduct. The Commonwealth recommended that the first juvenile be held without the right to bail as a dangerous person. Judge McMenemy supported the recommendation and the juvenile is currently being held without the right to bail.
The second juvenile is being charged with Possession of a Firearm in the commission of a felony; Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drug (Cocaine); Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Drug (Heroin); Carrying a Firearm without a License; Improper Storage of a Firearm; Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card; Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License; and Disorderly Conduct. The second juvenile will be subject to a dangerousness hearing on Monday, March 13th in Pittsfield Juvenile Court.
